In a series of Instagram posts, she shared her experience of having her tone “polite” during her job at the radio station.
“I was constantly told that I was angry, that I had to be nicer to people, that I had to smile more and my tone was controlled,” she said.
“I was under this microscope the whole time. The meetings would be on a screen and if I didn’t smile all the time there would be emails about what’s going on with Em. ‘
Em claimed it was an “exhausting” time made worse by a miscarriage and was told the format of her show was going to change.

Em added that she took a “big blow to the ego” when she found out that she was no longer the headliner of the show.
“It was just hectic,” she said. “It was the Em Rusciano radio show. It was my show, and all of a sudden, Ed’s anchor, the show is called The 2Day FM Breakfast Show. ‘
