Elton John sparked hopes for an extra show for his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour last night by posting a photo of himself on stage with the text “One last date to be announced…” to his Instagram story. Speculation over Elton John’s performance at the world-famous festival was reignited earlier this year after the dates for his Paris farewell tour were moved from 2022 to 2023.
Glastonbury weekend kicks off June 23-25, 2023, with Parisian shows kicking off June 21, 27 and 28, 2023, creating a practical void in Elton John’s schedule for the beloved UK festival.
Elton John, who performed his last shows in North America at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles just a few weeks ago, followed up his initial post with a confirmation post saying, “Rocket man is coming,” though he did not refer directly to Glastonbury. On a Twitter post created by Glastonbury Festival Feed, fans wrote about the nature of his possible appearance, with one writing, “Pyramid Headliner of course”, while another wrote, “he’s going to be on the place of legends”.

Additionally, on the website’s interactive Glastonbury webcam, a rocket can be seen flying above the Pyramid Stage.
Elton John will continue his tour until Saturday July 8, 2023, after stops in Australia, New Zealand and throughout Europe. Find tickets and learn more about other dates here.
