Elton John has raised fears among his fans after playing as part of One World: #TogetherAtHome.
The British music superstar has joined countless celebrities to participate in the fundraiser to help raise as much money as possible to fight Covid-19.
Elton, 73, gave an interpretation of his ionic hit I’m Still Standing, however, despite the pleasure of seeing the star, many supporters feared that he would not feel well.
When it came to singing the chorus of the track, Elton seemed unable to pronounce the sounds “S” and “T”.
As the news spread, Twitter was overwhelmed with viewers disconcerted by the situation.
In fact, many fans were so worried that after Elton posted on his official Twitter account thanking viewers for their support, many fans responded by expressing concern.
One fan replied, “Love me Elton but something was wrong with this performance … screaming and sounding like he had a speech problem.”
Another speculated: “I know he had pneumonia not long ago and I honestly think that’s why he didn’t sound the same.”
Meanwhile, a third continued: “I rarely tweet, but I’m legitimately concerned about #EltonJohn after his performance #ImStillStanding at the #OneWorldTogetherAtHome concert.
“I saw him so many times and it rang …”
A fourth wrote: “Why is Elton John ringing his tongue attached? Don’t be sarcastic … really worried.”
“How is it that he couldn’t pronounce himself standing?” questioned a fifth.
Elton is currently in the middle of a gigantic fairground tour.
Elton’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour spans three continents and includes 272 dates.
The trek ended in Oceania in March and should resume in May in Colombia.
However, with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world, it is unclear how many concerts will be cut.
Previously, he spoke to Daily Star Online about the tour, Elton’s husband David Furnish said, “He wanted to do a long farewell tour because he says there are a lot of people he wants say goodbye.
“He no longer wants to travel around the world … he really has trouble doing it, it takes him away from his family.
“Our children are getting older, they are no longer little babies, they are little people and they have needs and wants and it is difficult to do it on the other side of the world.”
David continued, “Elton has been doing it for 50 years now, he will never stop playing but he will not go from place to place.
“I don’t think he should stop completely either, because he’s an incredible live artist, but you will never come back to a city near most people.”
Admitting a residency is no small task after the world trip is over, the film producer continued: “Yes, maybe he could do a residency again.
“He likes the idea of spending a few nights in London or something, but he doesn’t want to travel.
“I think when you do two years and 300 shows, I think the immediate thing after that is just to take a little time and think and reset.
“He will be 74 and 75 at the end of the tour and you have to reanalyze all of these things, but I know unequivocally that he will not do a challenge and more tour – he just doesn’t want to.”
