Adam Levine and Ellen DeGeneres were each other’s “Wake Up Call”.
While appearing on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ this week, the ‘Voice’ trainer, 43, and daytime talk show host, 64, revealed the impact they’ve had on the personal life of the other.
“We won’t go into details because these are private matters, but I’ll tell you guys I’m technically the reason you met Portia [de Rossi]the Maroon 5 frontman said of DeGeneres’ wife.
“Well, that’s not why I met her, but you’re the reason we’re together,” DeGeneres said. “We are together because of Adam.”
Although the longtime pals didn’t detail how Levine contributed to the marriage of the Emmy winner and ‘Arrested Development’ star, DeGeneres said she too had an impact on the life of Levine — and not just because she backed him at the start of Maroon 5.
“I named your firstborn,” DeGeneres said of Levine’s daughter Dusty Rose, 5.
“I know that was definitely a name that you recommended and I brought to [wife] Behati [Prinsloo] and she…didn’t get it at first,” Levine said. “And then she kind of warmed up. So yeah, I mean really, you kind of did.
DeGeneres later concluded, “We’re very bonded in our lives.”
Hell, Levine even “introduced us to Wordle,” DeGeneres said.
She and de Rossi have been married since 2008. Levine and Prinsloo, who have been married since 2014, are also parents to 4-year-old daughter Gio Grace.
