Ellen DeGeneres has been spending more time at home with her wife Portia de Rossi since her talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show ended in May.

And on Saturday, the couple packed on the PDA while shopping in Santa Barbara County, which is about 83 miles north of Los Angeles but only a short drive from their swanky mansion in $49 million in Montecito.

Looking relaxed and at ease, the couple chatted as they walked hand-in-hand near a stretch of shops and restaurants, and on more than one occasion couldn’t contain their laugh.

The couple both opted for casualness and comfort in the fashion department when they stepped out of their nearby mansion for an afternoon excursion.

DeGeneres, 64, wore brown utility pants, with elastic cuffs that hugged her ankles, and a black t-shirt.

Knowing she would walk a lot, the former daytime talk show queen also wore a pair of blue and brown running sneakers and had her blonde hair cropped short with a left parting.

The Louisiana native appeared to crack jokes while telling a funny story, which seemed to amuse her longtime partner and laugh out loud.

The actress, from Horsham, Victoria, Australia, had her long blonde tresses pulled back from her face and into a loose bun.

The former Arrested Development star and Ally McBeal seemed to go into storytelling mode, which also drew a few laughs from the two.
