When the Austin Powers actress sat down with Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush on the Today show, she shared that she’s worked with Estee Lauder for 27 years to raise breast cancer awareness, but this year is special because Estee Lauder is donating $50 million over the next five years to address disparities in breast cancer research.

“Evelyn H. Lauder co-created the Pink Ribbon and founded the Estée Lauder Companies Breast Cancer Campaign because she recognized that women around the world were dying of breast cancer and no one was talking about it,” she began.
“Ironically, it was around the same time that I had just lost my beloved grandmother to breast cancer – she put off a doctor’s visit for a year and never got one. spoken,” the Austin Powers star began.

Estée Lauder has done much to fight breast cancer over the past 30 years, including funding more than $108 million worldwide for lifesaving research, education and medical services and more than $86 million to fund medical research grants through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF).
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an international effort to fight the disease with which 2.3 million people are diagnosed each year.
