SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador, September 28, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — El Salvadorthe first sovereign nation to make bitcoin legal tender, will host Adopting Bitcoin, a conference promoting the adoption of bitcoin in the context of creating a freer and fairer financial system.
The conference, which takes place at San Salvador and Bitcoin Beach from November 15-17brings together the bitcoin ecosystem for collaboration, networking and learning.
The event is organized by Galoy Inc., whose bitcoin banking platform powers Bitcoin Beach Wallet in El Salvador. “No one expected a sovereign nation to adopt bitcoin as legal tender in 2021,” said Nicolas Burtey, CEO of Galoy. “This decision has changed public perception of both the country and the currency. The first two days of the event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center in San Salvador. More than 110 speakers from more than 30 different countries will share the latest developments from all bitcoin disciplines, related to both technology and economics. A highlight of the technology and development focused track will be the presentation of bitcoin’s lead developer Jon Atackwhile the most prominent name in the economy-focused track is the Mexican senator Indira Kempis. The multi-track event will be held in English with real-time translations into Spanish for the main stages.
The third day of the event will take attendees on an excursion to Bitcoin Beach, El Zonte, where bitcoin adoption in the country was born.
