EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: After amassing a fortune making films in which unsavory characters meet brutal ends, director Guy Ritchie seeks to build a cemetery on his country estate.

He has amassed a fortune of more than £100 million, thanks to a multitude of box office hits in which unsavory characters invariably meet abrupt and brutal ends, their remains blood-splattered in alleyways or cremated in caravans. But Guy Ritchie has no plans to come out in an equally unseemly manner when the time comes for him to meet his maker.

Far from it: I can reveal that the director, who made his name with his first film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, has decided to be buried on his 1,134-acre estate in Wiltshire.

In fact, he was more specific than that. He has identified exactly where he intends to rest, among holm oaks on “a grassy knoll” – overlooking Ashcombe, the idyllic Georgian manor once occupied by society photographer Sir Cecil Beaton, who is retired Ritchie’s campaign since he and his first wife, Madonna, acquired it for £9 million in 2001.

“The proposal is for a small private cemetery surrounded by checkerboard walls of local greenstone and flint, set high on the hillside overlooking the house and grounds,” explains Timothy Reeve, planning officer for Ritchie and his wife, model Jacqui Ainsley, whom he married in 2015.

The couple, who have two sons and a daughter, ensured that every detail of the 32-by-26-foot plot was scrupulously respectful of the landscape, with its blacksmith-made gates.

In addition, there will only be “very distant and partial views” from the right-of-way crossing the estate.

This is proof, says Reeve, in an application to the local council seeking a “change of use” of the pastures, that the aim is “not to make a statement” but to emphasize “the connection of the family on the land.

Could there be room for “Madge,” with whom Ritchie shares sons Rocco, 23, and David, adopted in 2006? “In summer,” she once said of Ashcombe, “it’s the most beautiful place in the world.” He stayed with Ritchie after their divorce in 2008.

The Earl of Wemyss’s daughter wanted to mark her 37th birthday by lighting two numbered candles on a giant crescent-shaped cake – her favorite snack.

Unfortunately for the model and DJ, the cake she was holding in one hand slipped off the plate and onto the floor, as seen in a video she shared online. Lady Mary, who has two-year-old daughter Wilde with musician husband Robbie Furze, laments: “Birthday cake reality.”

Caroline Stanbury – whose husband, former footballer Sergio Carrallo, is almost 20 years her junior – says men are increasingly lusting after older women.

“Young men see this competent and powerful woman, they don’t look at the shaky elements,” explains the 47-year-old socialite.

Stanbury, who has three children with her first husband, Cem Habib, adds: “It’s more important than a thong and a girl showing off her body on the beach, who wants a Birkin for her birthday or a watch.”

Lord Antony, 80, insists: “No one was far right there. It’s just a good thing to get out and celebrate your country.

Clooney bags are a family affair

George Clooney’s sister-in-law adores him almost as much as his wife, Amal. When the 62-year-old Hollywood star was photographed carrying a backpack from her Totally Tala range, Tala Alamuddin shared the image on social media.

Meghan ditched The Tig after marrying into the royal family, but she is keen to keep the name.

The ex-actress asked the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) to have it protected by law and, just a few days ago, requested more time to complete the process. Tig’s website featured travel, fashion and restaurants.

The office states: “The USPTO issued a Notice of Allowance on April 11, 2023 for the trademark application identified above.

The applicant’s second request for an extension of time to file a statement of use was granted.
