EarthCruiser specializes in manufacturing high-end, ultra-rugged off-road vehicles. The company’s latest offering in the US is the Core Dual Cab chassis that seats six and has an adaptable rear section for multiple uses, like forest firefighting or rescue operations.
The chassis is based on the Isuzu NPR. Power comes with a 6.6-liter V8 developing 350 horsepower (261 kilowatts) and 425 pound-feet (576 Newton-meters) of torque. The powertrain consists of a six-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The four-wheel-drive system includes front and rear locking differentials.

EarthCruiser equips the Core Dual Cab chassis with leaf springs and custom performance shocks. There are drive axles at both ends. Each corner is fitted with a ventilated disc brake with a dual-piston caliper. The rotors measure 13.7 inches in the front and 13 inches in the rear.
With the Chassis-Cab configuration, buyers can outfit the rear section for any job they need. For example, EarthCruiser Core models are already in service with several Oregon Fire Departments. They perform functions like being high axle water rescue vehicles.
In April 2022, EarthCruiser upgraded to Isuzu NPR Series Class 4 from the former Fuso platform. The company planned to use the chassis for its EXP, FX, and Core models. The company outfitted the chassis with its own four-wheel-drive system, including parts like an Atlas transfer case, Fusion axles and Auburn locking differentials.
The Terranova is EarthCruiser’s other product line. These models based on a one-ton pickup truck chassis have a motorhome replacing the cargo area. Features include a retractable roof allowing people 6ft 5in tall to stand up inside. The expandable section has eight windows to let more light into the cabin. Inside, there’s a queen-size mattress and a seating area for four that converts into another bed. A kitchenette includes a sink, hob and refrigerator.
