The Eagles and Seahawks have agreed to terms in a trade that will send wide receiver JJ Arcega-Whiteside to Seattle in exchange for safety Ugo Amadi, according to the NFL Network. Arcega-Whiteside’s most productive season came during his rookie year, but it was nothing short of prolific. He caught 10 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown in 16 games played (five starts). Overall, his tenure with the Eagles ends with just 16 catches for 290 yards and that score in 40 games played (seven starts).

At the time, it was reported that he accepted the role and added weight to play the role better. However, it’s unclear if this Switch will stick around as it’s set to become a Seahawk. If he stays as a catcher, he will now join a room in Seattle that is led by Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Freddie Swain and Marquise Goodwin.

Meanwhile, Amadi is a former Seahawks fourth-round pick in the 2019 draft from Oregon. The 25-year-old has played 47 career games with the Seahawks and is coming off a 2021 season where he had 54 tackles, six pass breakups and one interception in 17 games played. It was would have is going to be called off by Seattle in its first wave of roster cuts, but they will now move on from the player while seeing if they exploit Arcega-Whiteside’s second-round potential.
