Three-time MVP of the Finals and four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal tried his hand at a different sport on Wednesday, wrestling in a tag team game for All-Elite Wrestling Dynamite (AEW).
Shaq ended up getting beaten and fell across two tables as he and his partner Jade Cargill beat Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet.

Of course, Shaq’s ex-teammate Dwyane Wade couldn’t help but laugh at The Big Diesel. Wade posted on Twitter, comparing Shaq getting knocked out watching the 15-time All-Star asleep with an astronaut-style helmet. As you can see, the (presumably staged) video shows Shaq sleeping peacefully in some sort of break room while D-Wade chuckles about the towering tall man’s choice of clothes, as well as the similarity to him who is conquered on the AEW showcase.

Although they were eliminated, Shaq and Cargill won the match. This begs the question: Will Shaq have the energy to be a full-time wrestler while also being a full-time NBA expert for TNT?
Shaquille O’Neal has always been a multitasking person as his hip-hop and acting career was concurrent with his astounding start to his NBA career with the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers. So it seems reasonable to assume that he will be a longtime player on the AEW Tour in the future. After all, he has the charisma and character to be a wrestling star.
Still, he better be careful or his Dwyane Wade will continue to clown at every opportunity – something that Candace Parker also knows – something in a more meaningful way.
