Dwayne Johnson, who recently launched a new NBC sitcom, Young Rock, is known to be an international movie star who earns a ton of money. However, before he reached his current level of success, he was well known as a professional wrestler, under the stage name “The Rock”.
While Johnson’s days in the ring are mostly behind him, it looks like the tradition of wrestling may remain in his family. Her daughter Simone has expressed her interest in professional wrestling, and if she joins WWE, she will be a fourth generation professional wrestler.
While many parents may not have the idea of their child being snapped with a tightrope, Johnson actually supports his daughter’s interest in wrestling. Because professional wrestling takes place in the family, he likes the idea that it continues the legacy.

Johnson opened up about his daughter’s interest in wrestling during a 2018 interview with Stephen Colbert. Even though his daughter has expressed a desire to take up wrestling, Johnson makes sure to mention the career risks.
“It’s incredibly dangerous,” Johnson said. “I mean, I grew up in the wrestling world, I was very injured and it’s a tough business because there is no season.
Despite the dangers inherent in professional wrestling, her daughter remains passionate about the idea of getting into the family business.
“She’s very interested in this,” Johnson said. “She has a great passion for it.”

Regardless of what people may think of the career choice, Johnson likes the idea because he knows wrestling is a more doable career now than it was when he did.

Johnson’s grandmother was also the first woman to promote wrestling.
