Dwayne Johnson is coming in big for two of his former high schools.
The Rock posted a video on his YouTube channel where he surprises players at Freedom High School in Pennsylvania with new equipment as part of Project Rock via Under Armor.
Johnson also had a recruiting profile at one point.
Johnson also gave the gift to these student-athletes from another high school where he attended McKinley HS in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Johnson gifted each player with Project Rock performance gear as well as personalized programming for athletes and coaches ahead of Freedom High’s return match against Central Catholic.
“I walked these corridors of Freedom High… we worked our buttocks in the weight room, off season [and] during the season we worked hard in the classroom and we always talked back then, like ‘How do we want us to be remembered? “Johnson said.” … the most important thing is that I want you to think about it: how do you want you to be remembered? “
Johnson’s former high school was inspired, romping around 42-7.
“You played hard, you played like the toughest workers in the gym,” he said. “You played for blood, sweat and respect. You played like champions, you played like patriots.
My family was evicted from Hawaii and forced to move to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Times were tougher back then, but I will always be grateful to McKinley High & Freedom High for the invaluable life lessons I was taught. A pleasure to give back
