Dwayne Johnson posted a video of him yesterday as he surprised an audience gathered to watch his hit Netflix movie, Red Notice, on the big screen. Johnson provided free concessions, shoes, tequila, energy drinks and ice cream for everyone.
“I also wanted to do something BIG… something MASSIVE… something unforgettable for a fan,” he later wrote.
Outside the auditorium, he told the audience that he had something more special in store for one of them.
“There’s a guy here, I read his story and was really impressed with his story. I want to show it off, ”Johnson told the crowd. “His name is Oscar Rodriguez.
A devastated Rodriguez rushed forward and received a big hug from the star. It wasn’t all he had.
Johnson then delivered his to Rodriguez It’s a wonderful life moment saying, “Your story really moved me.” The star then read a list of what Rodriguez does right in the world: he takes care of his 75-year-old mother. He is a personal trainer who helps people get back into shape. He’s a leader in his church. It offers support and meals to women victims of domestic violence. He’s a Navy veteran and, perhaps most importantly, a kind human being.
“I’m just speechless,” said the veteran, “I feel so elated.” He then told Johnson he was following him on Instagram.
This point is essential, because when the star drove Rodriguez outside to check out his custom, reinforced truck in the parking lot, Rodriguez recognized it on social media: “I can’t tell you how many times I have told you. seen in this truck!
“This is my truck, “the superstar told him,” and now it’s your truck!
As an overwhelmed Rodriguez began to cry, Johnson told him, “You do people a lot of good, brother. The gym. The church. Your mum. Women. Women who need this support. Who crosses it.
Why his own truck? Johnson explained that he originally wanted to give the vet a Porsche.
“My original idea was to give the Porsche Taycan, which I drive in the film, Red Notice. So we contacted Porsche, but they said no. So Johnson reached into his own pocket.
“Oscar said it right, right before he left ~ it’s just love,” Johnson wrote later. – That’s all, my brother. Just love. Go enjoy your new truck and merry Christmas to you and your family !!! ”
