Dwayne Johnson confirms Aldis Hodge is Hawkman in Black Adam
Earlier today, it became known that DC and New Line have an eye on Aldis Hodge to portray Hawkman in their upcoming Black adam film titled by Dwayne Johnson. At the DC FanDome event in August, the studios confirmed that the character will appear in the film as the leader of the Justice Society of America. Now Johnson has taken to Instagram to praise Hodge’s casting.
Looks like Johnson personally phoned Hodge to tell him he got the role of Hawkeye. He also included a transcript of their conversation in his last post. You can read it all for yourself below.
Hodge joins a cast that so far only includes Johnson and Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, another member of the JSA. Black adamThe FanDome teaser confirmed that the Justice Society on the big screen also includes Dr. Fate and Cyclone. However, these roles have yet to be played. Jaume Collet-Serra conducts Black adam from a screenplay by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani.
Black adam was originally slated to begin production last summer and hit theaters in December 2021. But with COVID-19 underway, filming will likely begin early next year. DC has yet to say whether the release date will change.
