Over the past few years, we’ve seen Diesel and Johnson repeatedly talk about each other in their interviews. Likewise, The Rock once shot the 55-year-old actor and the entire cast.
Dwayne Johnson, formerly called Fast and Furious non-professional
The beef between Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel has gotten personal over the years. In 2016, The Rock shared an Instagram post in which he took a photo of the entire Fast and Furious cast.
He was filming the franchise’s 8th episode while calling out the male co-stars for their unprofessional attitudes during filming. However, he then quickly deleted the post.
The Rock said, “Some behave like straight men and real professionals, while others don’t. Those who don’t are too dumb to do anything anyway. Candy a**es.
He added, “When you watch this movie next April and it looks like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legitimately boiling – you’re right.” (H/T Buzzfeed)
When filming for the last DJ movie in the franchise ended, things got heated between them. TMZ once also shared a post where they said DJ and VD had a few secret meetings after the explosive Facebook post.
The main reason for their beef was that the F9 star was the film’s producer. The 10-time world champion didn’t like some decisions made by Diesel and as a result, there was an argument between the two.
Additionally, several cast members were angry with Johnson for revealing the behind-the-scenes photos before filming wrapped.
The Rock once called Vin Diesel’s request to join the franchise “manipulative.”
After Fate of the Furious, DJ made it clear that he was not returning to the franchise. However, his character Luke Hobbs is essential and they asked him to return. Johnson refused to return, so Vin Diesel posted on social media asking The Rock to join.

DJ said, “Vin’s recent public post was an example of his manipulation. I did not like that he raised his children in the post office, as well as the death of Paul Walker. Leave them outside. We talked about it months ago and came to a clear agreement. (H/T Panels)

Many hoped the WWE legend and the F9 star would sort out their issue and work together again. Sadly, that will never happen and we may never see Hobbs in the Fast and Furious franchise in the future, but never say never.
