If Duke’s basketball team hopes to face potential No. 1 Gonzaga for the second straight season — then-No. 5 Duke beat No. 1 Gonzaga in Las Vegas on November 26 last year – the Blue Devils may first have to defeat two other teams at the Phil Knight Legacy in late November.
Or Duke and Gonzaga could face off in a consolation round, although that scenario seems unlikely.
Either way, the eight teams on the ground will each play three games in Portland, Oregon from Nov. 24-27.
According to support published by ESPN on Monday, Duke is the first to face Oregon State. The announcement of this fight will take place at 3:00 p.m. ET on November 24 and will air on ESPN.
Duke has a 2-0 lead over Oregon State, but the two programs haven’t played each other since 1963.
Assuming the Blue Devils emerge victorious over the Beavers, they will play the winner between Florida and Xavier at 3:00 p.m. ET the following day, also on ESPN.
