Deep-pocketed fans can take home items worn by stars like Cher and Katy Perry, and all for a great cause.
Julien’s Auctions is hosting its annual MusiCares Charity Relief auction in Beverly Hills on Sunday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. PT, just hours before the 65th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
Some of the biggest items in the auction include an elegant pantsuit worn by Cher at Mardi Gras in 2018 and an ensemble worn by Katy Perry – who honored husband Orlando Bloom’s ex Miranda Kerr this week – worn during of a FIFA 2019 performance.
Cher wore the ensemble to Sydney, Australia’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Celebration held on March 3, 2018 at Taylor Square in Sydney, Australia.
The set includes “a fitted jacket embellished with black and silver sequins in a damask-inspired pattern with a black satin interior and lapel, as well as three interior pockets; and matching flared pants.
Cher headlined the event which marked the 40th anniversary of Mardi Gras and the first since Australia achieved marriage equality, and she performed in front of 300,000 people.
The item is expected to fetch between $2,000 and $4,000 at auction, with current bids already reaching $1,250.
The Katy Perry ensemble was worn by the singer while performing on December 15, 2019 in Qatar for the FIFA Club World Cup.
The set includes “a sequined hot pink and black striped jumpsuit with a corseted inner bodice, structured bra cups and zippers at the bottom of each pant leg; a wide sequined black belt; and a pair of two hot pink feather cuffs with black patent leather bracers.
The item is expected to fetch between $2,000 and $4,000 at auction, with the current bid being $700.
One of the most expensive items is a 2020 Epiphone DR-100EB acoustic guitar signed by Taylor Swift with custom graphics from her evermore album.
The front of the guitar features a “laminated spruce top with a photographic image all over the soundboard and signed in black”.
It also features a “black finished mahogany back, sides and neck with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge”.
The guitar was estimated between $5,000 and $10,000, but the current highest bid is already $9,000.
Another top-notch item is an ensemble worn by pop star Olivia Rodrigo at the 2022 Glastonbury Festival.
The set was custom made by label Chopova Lowena and features a nylon-blend crop top in a purple, brown, and white plaid pattern, with cut-out front, strappy fringe, and silver hardware including a metal heart, size S; a pleated mini skirt featuring a purple, brown, grey, black, green and blue plaid pattern with a floral velvet overlay, with silver hardware and charms depicting a lamb, an arrow through a heart, a leaf and a plate with brand name logo, no size present; and a pair of gathered sleeves to match the skirt design, with a knotted fringe at one end.
The crop top is signed by Rodrigo, the item is expected to fetch between $2,000 and $4,000, with bidding already at $2,250.
Another highlight is the ensemble worn by BTS member J-Hope for the cover shoot of his debut solo album Jack in the Box.
The set comes with a black jumpsuit, black cotton t-shirt, and black ribbed bunny ears hat, and this item is already over its estimate of $4,000 to $6,000, with the current bid at 12. $500.
Other items include a black 2022 Fender Player Series Stratocaster electric guitar signed by Harry Styles, which was also well over its estimate of $2,000 to $4,000 with the current bid of $12,500.
Other guitars include a Gibson Les Paul electric guitar signed and played by Joe Perry (estimate $4,000-6,000, current offer: $7,000), a Gibson SG electric guitar signed and played by Ozzy Osbourne (estimate $2,000 at $4,000, current bid: $10,000) and a Gibson Les Paul electric guitar signed by the band Fleetwood Mac (estimate $4,000-$6,000, current bid: $12,500).
There’s also a multi-artist signed guitar honoring Bob Dylan who won the 2015 MusiCares Person of the Year award (estimate $2,000-$4,000, current bid: $2,250).
