Dr. Chris Brown is the surprising new superhero in the DC Universe lineup, lending his voice to guinea pig Mark in the animated DC League of Super-Pets.

The 43-year-old celebrity vet stars alongside wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and comedian Kevin Hart in the film.

He announced the news on Sunday, uploading a promotional photo of himself in the recording studio to Instagram alongside an image of the cute animal he voices.

Dr Chris Brown, 43 (pictured), is the newest superhero in the DC Universe lineup, along with guinea pig Mark in the DC League of Super-Pets animation.

“When you’re in possession of a substantial and potentially oversized jawbone AND you’re approached by DC movies to voice a character in their new animated superhero movie, you’d be excused for thinking they’re getting Superman vibes. ‘, he captioned the post.

The film, which is about Superman’s dog, Krypto the Superdog, has been released in 4,314 locations, AP reported, citing studio estimates.

Industry experts predicted the film, which also features the voices of Kate McKinnon, John Krasinski and Keanu Reeves, would open to around $25 million.

DC League Of Super-Pets also took in $18.4 million internationally, bringing its worldwide revenue to $41.4 million.
