(Reuters) – Walt Disney Co theme parks, resorts and cruises will serve Impossible Foods’ plant-based meat burgers, the companies said on Tuesday, another victory for the vegan pancake maker expands its reach through fast food chains.
Several fast-food restaurants, including Burger King and McDonald’s, are partnering with Impossible Foods or its rival Beyond Meat Inc to meet the growing demand for plant foods by environmentally conscious consumers.
Disney said it will make its debut this week with Impossible Foods’ burgers and meatball subs at the California Adventure Food 039;Wine Festival, and will soon be available in other locations, including Tony Square Town Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort.
Last year, Disney said it would serve hundreds of herbal dishes at its resorts and theme parks, the segment from which the company generates about 35% of its revenue.
