The stars of Dishing it Up shine at the Sydney premiere of new SBS series which promises to erase the shine from cooking shows
It has been described as Gogglebox for food.
And the stars of SBS’s Dishing It Up beamed as they gathered at Sydney’s Shell House ahead of the cooking show’s premiere.
The bold new original show erases the showbiz sheen of cooking shows to see canape critics turn into cooks by recreating famous dishes.

The eight-part series will feature six pairs trying to cook picture-perfect dishes on the show.
Radio host, actress, writer and comedian Veronica Milsom adds her comedic touch as the series’ narrator.

Mother and daughter team Sara and Magda kept it glamorous with Sara wearing a strapless polka dot dress.
Magda opted for a black top and pants which she paired with a graphic jacket.

Best friends Jonathon and Hari looked smart while presenting the show

Also posing on the media wall were married couple Fiona and Jeremy and sassy pals Matt and Anna.
Series creator and producer Michelle Galluzzo of The Precinct said the show was designed to entertain.

“Dishing It Up is a cooking show like no other — designed to entertain cooks and non-cooks alike,” she said.
“There’s no competition (other than a healthy couple’s rivalry), no fabricated drama (aside from the occasional smoke alarm) and no prizes (aside from bragging rights for the best cook at home),” she added.
“The beauty of Dishing It Up is that it’s real, raw and relatable – a stark contrast to the pitch-perfect, stylized celebrity chef cooking shows we’re used to.”
Dishing It Up airs Thursday, September 29 at 7:30 p.m. on SBS, SBS Food, and SBS On Demand.
