Brands sought to stay away from Johnny Depp after abuse allegations
Disney chose to let go of the actor when Amber Heard’s op-ed about Johnny Depp physically abusing him was revealed. They decided to continue the Pirates of the Caribbean without the actor even before any conclusion was announced.
Warner Bros. Discovery also replaced Depp with Madds Mickelson as Grindelwald in the fantastic beasts and where to find them film. This step was taken just after the actor lost the case against Heard in the UK Dior, however, decided to take no big step and keep Johnny Depp as his face. Looks like they made the right decision.
