Jay-Z has opened up about cheating on his wife Beyoncé in The New York Times style magazine. The 52 year old man admits he built walls due to childhood issues, which caused him to walk out of his marriage.
“The hardest part is seeing the pain in someone’s face that you’ve caused and then having to deal with it,” he admitted. “So even with women, you’re going to emotionally close yourself off, so you can’t connect. In my case, it’s deep. And then it all goes from there: infidelity.”
The billionaire businessman has hinted that his marriage could have ended in divorce court had they not gone to therapy. “You know, most people move on, and, like, the divorce rate is like 50% or something because most people can’t see each other.”
In 2013, rumors emerged that the rapper had cheated, leading to #elevatorgate when footage emerged of Beyoncé’s sister Solange attacking Jay-Z. On Jay-Z’s album, 4:44, he hinted at his infidelity.
He rapped, “Listen, I apologize/I often do petticoats/I took for my child to be born to see through a woman’s eyes.” A year before 4:44 was released, Beyoncé sang “Becky with good hair” on her Lemonade album. “He only wants me when I’m not around / He better call Becky with the nice hair.”

Beyoncé was reportedly furious with Jay-Z for having a secret phone to call her protege Rihanna. Queen Bey reportedly had many heated arguments with her husband after he allegedly uncovered a secret motive which he claimed was for business purposes.
A source said Grace magazine: “Jay has multiple phones, including one he keeps reserved for Rihanna, supposedly to discuss business interests. It’s obvious when she calls because he’s interrupting meetings, even leaving the dinner table to talk to him.”
The insider claims Beyoncé knew Jay had a number of phones but didn’t know billionaire Fenty Beauty Rihanna had a hotline with her hubby and hates how close they are. Jay-Z has vehemently denied that he and Rihanna were ever more than friends and co-workers after rumors swirled online.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z would collaborate on a new album
Beyoncé and Jay-z would team up for another joint album. The project is set to arrive as part of Queen Bey’s three-parter RENAISSANCE series. New York Times‘ pop culture journalist Kyle Buchanan recently tweeted that Beyoncé is currently planning a full collaborative album with her hip-hop icon husband.
Buchanan also said that the second part of the series will be an acoustic project. He wrote, “Before Twitter goes down, instead of forcing you to follow me elsewhere, I’m just going to tell you what I heard about the other 2 acts in Beyoncé’s 3-part ‘Renaissance’ project. (2nd act is an acoustic album, 3rd act is a collaboration with Jay-Z).”
When Beyoncé released her album in July, she took to Instagram to express that the project was just “act i.” She also wrote on her website, “This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found most creative.”
The music legend continued, “Creating this album allowed me to dream and escape in a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when nothing was “The other was not moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free from perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, to release, to feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of ‘exploration.”
