The Florida home where not one but two of the biggest sports stars in history lived could be yours … for the small price of $ 29 million.
Hall of Fame New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and his wife Hannah officially listed their 33,000 square foot mansion in Tampa, Florida on Tuesday. The asking price of $ 29 million makes it one of the most expensive in Tampa Bay history, according to Bob Glaser, CEO of Smith & Associates Real Estate, the listing company.
Of course, there’s that little question of the house currently occupied by future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady, who started renting the place in April, shortly after joining the Buccaneers from Tampa Bay as a free agent.
But don’t worry, Brady and his family won’t be scrapped. Or in the water.
Jeter, now CEO and co-owner of the Miami Marlins, has “negotiated favorable terms” with Brady so he can market and sell the property, real estate company spokeswoman Sarah Lesch told the Tampa Bay Times.
The seven bedroom house overlooking Hillsborough Bay was custom built in 2012. It features eight full bathrooms, an entertainment room, billiards room, wine cellar, 80 foot saltwater pool long and two boat lifts that open to Tampa Bay.
Jeter lived in the Davis Island area during the baseball vacations before taking over the Marlins and moving to Miami.
“The Davis Islands have provided a calm, safe and friendly lifestyle that we will always cherish,” he said in a statement.
