Deontay Wilder opened up about how deep his hatred for Tyson Fury ran when he spoke a year after their trilogy wrapped.
Despite the exchange of insults, the heavyweight rivals had always been on good terms until their rematch in 2020, when Fury’s stoppage win drastically changed their relationship.

What had previously been light-hearted press conference chatter suddenly turned into outright hatred between the two as Wilder accused the Gypsy King of “cheating” to win the fight.
Fury didn’t respond well after the Bronze Bomber baselessly claimed he loaded his gloves amid a flurry of wild excuses following the loss.
The couple found themselves in a thrilling trilogy 18 months later, which the Brit won by knockout.
Then, nearly a year after what arguably should have been the end of their rivalry, the American insisted the hate still exists.
When asked if he would ever be friends with Fury, Wilder told FightHype, “No, never, because I know the truth behind it.
“I don’t tolerate cheating and shit like that. I know it, no matter what people say.

“People and analysts say, ‘If he had something in his glove, why didn’t you go to the authorities?’
“I would love to be in front of them. I would grab their collars and put them close to my face so that we could be eye to eye, face to face, so that my breath would touch their face.
“And I would say to them, ‘Why the hell would I go to the authorities when I have the opportunity to release my own energy and get my hands on him and the possibility of trying to kill him and being paid million dollars I do?
“Why would I go to the authorities? Ok I’m going to see the authorities, they lock him up, and then what? That’s it.
“Good writing. Alright, we’ve proven our case. No one feeds. What justice did it do? It does not mean anything.
“It looks like someone who is not confrontational, not into combat sports because his mindset is not fight oriented, he is determined to be kind – that doesn’t even have a makes sense to me.
“We are in the casualty sector. This is what we do. I can hurt you and get paid to do it. Sounds like a good deal to me.
