And Denise Van Outen and her fiance Eddie Boxshall looked in good spirits as they arrived at the Dorchester Hotel in London for a romantic dinner on Thursday.

The TV personality, 47, cut an elegant silhouette for the evening by donning a green midi dress with a fuchsia floral print.

The garment featured a V-neckline and a split leg while Denise added height to its frame with a pair of pink ankle boots.

The media personality let her platinum blonde locks fall over her shoulders for the evening and added a pink clutch to her outfit.

Eddie, 47, opted for a casual look for the couple’s date as he sported a black polo shirt with white jeans and a pair of sunglasses.

The couple were holding hands and were all smiles as they arrived at the posh hotel.

It comes after Denise revealed that Eddie had no idea he would be spending the evening with her on their first blind date.

The former Big Breakfast presenter discussed their humorous first encounter on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4, and admitted her fiance thought it was a joke when the restaurant host blurted out that he would be sitting with it. Denise.

She told presenter Steph McGovern: “When I first met Eddie I had a blind date. He didn’t know it was me which was kind of funny.

“I was sitting in a bar and he came up and said, ‘I’m here to meet a Denise,’ he knew my name.

She also revealed that the secret ingredient to their successful first date was the margaritas, and lots of them.

Denise added, “I got the receipt from our first date, I kept it. It was May 22nd and it was literally margarita, margarita, margarita, margarita, there are about 20 margaritas on it.

“At one point, you know, when you’re drunk and we left, ‘we should really eat something’, we ordered the most random thing – just a bowl of chipolatas! Then it comes back to margarita, margarita, margarita… ‘

Denise and Eddie have decided to weather the coronavirus storm and delay their long-awaited nuptials so they can have a big party with their loved ones.

The TV personality said she was happy to move to the back of the wedding queue to allow other couples to exchange vows first, as she predicts a “massive backlog” due to the pandemic.

Speaking to The Sun last month, she said, “We are not engaged but we are preparing to get married. It will certainly happen, but we are in no rush.

“We don’t want a small wedding. We want a big group of people and a big party with no restrictions.

Denise and her commodity trading partner have been in the business for seven years and currently live in Essex with her nine-year-old daughter Besty, whom she shares with West End star Lee Mead.

Eddie also has two children from a previous relationship.
