Microsoft is expected to roll out native notification support for macOS in April of this year, but a new post in the admin center suggests that won’t.
Previously, Microsoft announced that it would roll out a new toggle in Microsoft Teams for macOS notification settings, which would give users the option to switch to native notifications. The feature would be available on macOS 10.14 and later.
Embedded notifications would however remain the default.
Now Microsoft has announced this; “Based on the lessons learned from our first rings, we made the decision to make additional modifications before proceeding with the deployment.”
Microsoft did not specify what changes are being considered, but said it will update admins when they feel ready to deploy again.
