Declan Rice appeared to turn around and taunt the Tottenham fans after Arsenal scored from their corner.
The Gunners midfielder received plenty of sticks from his rivals’ fans as he prepared to take the free-kick, with a section of supporters seen shouting at him.
However, he quickly made them regret it.
Rice’s corner ended up meeting Kai Havertz, who rose highest to beat Guglielmo Vicario to make it 3-0 with 10 minutes left in the half.
As the ball hit the back of the net, Rice quickly faced the disgruntled home fans who shouted at him as he celebrated.
Rice has established himself as a Gunners fan favorite since signing from West Ham last summer for £105 million, including add-ons.
He made 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and registering eight assists during this period.
Bukayo Saka had already rubbed salt into Spurs’ wounds this afternoon with his own gestures towards the home fans when the Gunners were leading 2-0.
Firstly, his corner forced his fierce rivals to concede a fine goal, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg slotting the ball into his own net.
Saka then got on the scoresheet to double his team’s lead.
The Gunners lost their clean sheet when David Raya fired a goal kick straight at Cristian Romero, with the defender hitting the ball before slotting past the Gunners goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
Rice then shook his head as he awarded a penalty with less than 10 minutes remaining, kicking Ben Davies in the back of the leg.
Captain Heung-min Son then converted from the spot to make it 3-2, but the home side failed to equalize in their end.
Arsenal are now four points clear at the top of the Premier League, while second-placed Manchester City face Nottingham Forest, one of their two games in hand, later on Sunday.
