The ceremony, sponsored by the National Lottery and in partnership with NHS Charities Together, will see workers honored in several categories including Best Doctor, Best Midwife and Best Team.
The Sun’s Who Cares Wins Awards are in their sixth year, although the 2023 ceremony is even more special as the NHS celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Davina said of the awards: “I am extremely proud to host these awards, which recognize some of the most extraordinary people on the planet. It’s a privilege to meet these everyday heroes and celebrate their truly inspiring stories.
This year’s awards were launched by boxer and long-time supporter Anthony Joshua, who said of the event: “It’s my pleasure to launch this year’s awards. It was truly humbling at last year’s ceremony to hear the incredible stories of heroism taking place across the UK.
“I was blown away by the people I met. For me, they are the real stars. Our healthcare heroes are true fighters. The past few years have been incredibly difficult for those working on the front lines. They have helped us through the coronavirus pandemic while continuing to try to maintain all other services.
“Our NHS is made up of people from all walks of life coming together to selflessly help others. They put the big ones in Britain. They don’t do it for the money or the thanks. They’re not the type to step into the spotlight, which is why The Sun needs YOU to nominate your healthcare hero.
The 2023 ceremony will see a star-studded guest list including Emily Atack, Zara McDermott, Olivia Attwood and Piers Morgan walk the red carpet before supporting the well-deserved nominees.

It comes after Davina gave a full insight into the disciplined health regime that helped her develop the physique of someone twice her age.
The mother-of-three is in the shape of her life after devoting herself to ritual daily workouts – but it’s not your average hour at a local gym.
While many are content to cautiously delve into the increasingly popular world of health and fitness, Davina has embraced it as a full-time lifestyle choice that would leave most people exhausted – and searching for the nearest air freshener.
Speaking to the Mirror, the presenter revealed that she sets her alarm for 6.15am every day and immediately puts on her Lycra workout gear because it motivates her to exercise, even when she’s not I don’t want it.
“I just put on a workout outfit because that means I’m always ready,” she said. “If I start my day in civilian life, I’m not going to train, that’s never going to happen.”
After jumping out of bed at dawn, Davina hits the shower, before applying a variety of gels and patches, prescribed by her doctor to treat issues such as “brain fog and libido.”
Next comes breakfast, but bacon, eggs and a hot cup of coffee are definitely not on the menu for the health-conscious star.
“I have powdered bovine collagen,” she admitted. “I’ll probably have granola and milk for breakfast, but sometimes if I’m naughty I’ll make a crumpet.”

Dressed to impress: She styled her long brunette tresses in loose waves and applied a flawless makeup palette to accentuate her beauty.

Unfortunately, granola has some potentially embarrassing consequences — so anyone considering a similar breakfast should probably avoid elevators and crowded rooms.
She warned: “If you’re new to this, just make sure you’re with friends because it’s very, very exciting. It has so much fiber.
After breakfast, a quick walk with the family dog Bo, a regular presence on her Instagram account, but that comes with the added burden of weighted gloves.
“I use them for walks, for all my exercises – even if I use dumbbells, I’ll still carry them,” she said. “They only weigh half a kilo, but you will feel it. This is the best equipment I have ever used.
The presenter also regularly restructures her daily workouts, meaning she never does the same routine for too long – a tactic that “challenges and shocks the body”.
