40 years after launching one of the most iconic shows in television history, David Letterman has returned to his old stomping ground at Late Night in New York.

It was announced last week that the 74-year-old comedian and talk show host would return to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday.

The late night icon was seen signing autographs for fans as he left the famous 30 Rockefeller Plaza in New York City.
