Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson has become the fourth celebrity confirmed for the new Dancing on Ice series, which will air on ITV in January 2023.
Revealing the news on his YouTube channel, Nile said: “I’m going to be on ITV’s Dancing on Ice!” It’s a really cool thing.
“I certainly haven’t done much ice skating, but I’m so excited about this opportunity. I’m so excited to get into this routine and feel like an athlete again.

On what he hopes to bring to the ice, Nile said, “My biggest goal on the show is to do something that no one has ever done before!”
Eleven celebrities will take on the ultimate challenge as they take to the ice each week, skating live in an effort to impress both the panel and viewers at home.
Nile joins a stellar line-up of stars including soccer legend John Fashanu, actress and DJ Patsy Palmer and Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu,

Ekin-Su has confirmed she signed up for the skating show after her boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti said he turned down an offer to join.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, the reality star, 28, revealed she would be joining the cast of the upcoming series, saying: “I have some amazing news to tell you, I’m going to be doing Dancing on this year Ice!
“I’m so excited, can’t wait to get on the ice and skate. Stay tuned and see you on the ice.

It comes after her boyfriend Davide, 27, claimed he turned down an offer to join the skating show because he didn’t have time to commit to it all.
He said: “I have so much to do and I can’t commit to something every day and when I do something I want to do it right.”
“Right now I just can’t focus on something like that, for now anyway, but in the future maybe I will.”

Ekin-Su has already released his first range with Oh Polly while Davide has launched his own collection with BoohooMAN.
The couple will also return to the screens in their brand new ITV series, titled Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings.
They will be seen undertaking two trips to their hometowns in Italy and Turkey.

The two-part series will follow the lovebirds as they travel to Davide’s hometown of Frosinone to meet his family, before traveling to Istanbul in Turkey for his boyfriend to meet his fellow actors and his family at Odemis. .
So far, two celebrities have been confirmed to star in Dancing On Ice’s new series, which will air on ITV in January 2023.
On Tuesday, it was revealed that John Fashanu would join the cast, after Patsy Palmer confirmed his participation.
Jean, 60, said: “I’m so excited to be part of Dancing on Ice! I don’t think it will surprise people that I’m very competitive – I’m definitely here to win it.

It comes after Patsy appeared on This Morning from her Los Angeles home on Monday to confirm her attendance.
The EastEnders icon, 50, said: ‘I can’t believe I’m the first one. That was the one I really had to think about, I wanted to challenge myself, get out of my comfort zone.’

“I refused before because I was terrified, but when I turned 50 I made a pact to get out of my confrontation zone. It’s for all 50-year-olds. In fact, I am very scared now.
“Even my daughter doesn’t know, she has travelled.”
Patsy said she would return to the UK for the show but would do much of her training in Malibu.
She said: “I’m coming back, but I’m going to train in Los Angeles which is fantastic.”
“I’m not competitive, but this time I’m going to say let’s try to win. I’m going to focus on training and using meditation, and that’s really going to test it for me.

Speaking about her experience, she said: “The experience of ice skating that I had was that I would go with my friends when I was a kid, as one of the first things we were allowed to do without our parents.” We used to skate fast and crash into walls.
“It would be really nice to skate to songs that I like, but a lot of them are very upbeat and I don’t want to challenge myself.”
Patsy lives in Malibu with her husband Richard Merkell and their three children, Fenton, 22, Emilia, 20, and Bertie, 10, after moving to the United States in 2014.
She is also the mother of actor Charley Palmer Rothwell, 30 – her UK-based son with former partner Alfie Rothwell.
