Dakota Fanning shares glimpse of her sunny beach vacation in Capri

She worked hard to film the Showtime Ripley series in Italy.

But Dakota Fanning got a well-deserved break from her busy schedule as she shared a glimpse of her relaxing beach break on the picturesque island of Capri on Tuesday.

The actress, 27, posted a gallery of images on Instagram, including a photo of her figure in a cream crochet bikini as she sunbathed during her getaway.

Dakota’s first snap showed her wearing a tight white waistcoat and a cute printed wrap skirt as she posed in her bedroom.

While other images showed Capri’s stunning beaches, another image saw her sporting a loose white linen shirt and black flared jeans.

It also emerged that Dakota had struggled with the effects of hours in the sun, sharing a snap of her indented wrist.

Dakota has been spotted in various Italian locations, including along the Amalfi Coast, this year while filming Showtime’s Ripley.

The drama series based on the novels Tom Ripley by Patricia Highsmith.

Set in the ’60s, Ripley will follow young crook Tom Ripley played by Andrew Scott who is hired by a wealthy businessman to bring his gallant son back from Europe.

Tom’s acceptance of the job marks his descent into a whirlwind life of deception, lies and ultimately violence.

Oscar winner Steven Zaillian not only serves as a screenwriter on the production, but will also direct the entire first season in addition to serving as executive producer.

The series which started filming in September 2020 has yet to announce a UK release date.

Amy Israel, executive vice president of scripted programming at Showtime, told Variety earlier this year, “Dakota Fanning is the perfect choice to play the deliciously complicated Marge against Andrew.”

“She’s an actress who brings intelligence and vulnerability to every part, with so many bubbles below the surface. We can’t wait to see her sink her teeth into this role in Steve Zallian’s Ripley.

Fleabag star Andrew will play Ripley, while Fanning will play Marge Sherwood, an American living in Italy who begins to suspect Ripley’s motives when he shows up looking for her boyfriend Dickie Greenleaf, played by Johnny Flynn.
