Cynthia Bailey confirmed the end of her nearly two-year marriage to Mike Hill on Wednesday morning, but insists they have remained “good friends” since their split.
In a statement, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 55, told People that “God doesn’t make mistakes” and that she truly believes in her heart that Mike “entering into” her “life was the fate”.
“I jumped in, both feet first and gave it my all,” the reality star said. “Although this journey is over, I am so grateful for our continued friendship and the beautiful memories we have created together.”

She continued, “God willing, I will find love again. Whatever is meant to be, will be; and I couldn’t be more excited for my next chapter!’
“I pray that my friends, family and fans will continue to walk with me on this awesome thing we call ‘life! “Thank you for your continued prayers, support and best wishes,” the mother-of-one added.
Hill told the outlet, “I love Cynthia and always will because she’s a phenomenal woman and a beautiful person.”

“Even though our relationship is ending, our friendship remains rock solid and I’m grateful for that,” he said. ‘Honestly we’ve been thinking about going our separate ways for the past few months so it’s been good for both of us to have this time to process everything privately and I can smile knowing she’ll always be there for me because I will be for her .
The former couple, who would have celebrated their second wedding anniversary over the weekend, first met during an appearance on an episode of Steve Harvey’s talk show in January 2018.

Bailey was previously married to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017 and engaged to Leon Robinson, who is the father of her 22-year-old daughter, Noelle; seen in 2001.
In November 2021, the duo both denied allegations that they cheated on the Real Housewives Of Atlanta alum by sending nude photos and videos to another person.
The exes dismissed the infidelity as hearsay to TMZ, calling the gossip “stupid” and “not true.”

At the time, a Twitter user claimed the sports commentator sent them nude photos and videos via Snapchat, but the accuser’s account died shortly after.
Despite the gossip, Cynthia told the world they were doing “very well” while Mike shrugged when asked why people would make up such claims.
“Rumors are rumours,” Bailey added, before Hill said they would consider “legal action” if the allegations persist.
“We will deal with it as it should,” he said, also telling TMZ that he hopes the online accuser can “get some help.”
The drama began when a Twitter user claimed to have nude photos and video of Hill.
She posted screen recordings of her alleged Snapchat profile on the account, which also showed him typing on the app in another video, per Page Six.

Then things got graphic when they posted a side-by-side photo of a penis and a screenshot of Hill’s Instagram story which appeared to show him wearing the same clothes and sitting in the same chair.
The Twitter user has since deleted his account.
Bailey, who left The Real Housewives of Atlanta after 11 seasons, recently told Page Six that she left in order to “protect” her marriage to Hill.
‘After going through my divorce with my ex [Peter Thomas]I’m very protective of my second marriage because, you know, I really want it to work, and I want to do everything I can to protect it and to protect Mike.
