De Sequeira will lead the marketing vision, brand identity and execution of the company in his new role as a member of the Cultiva leadership team. His responsibilities include building the global Cultiva brand by showcasing the company’s leadership in pre-harvest crop protection technologies. As Cultiva takes advantage of its strong growth curve, De Sequeira will drive global market development, marketing strategy, positioning and messaging around exclusive emerging technologies and innovations in existing and new markets.

Most recently, De Sequeira worked for the international mining and metals company Rio Tinto, where he served as director of global market development for the company’s agricultural activities. Previously, he held positions in agronomy and sales at Koch Industries in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Wichita, Kansas.

De Sequeira holds a doctorate. in environmental sciences of crops and soils Virginia Tech, and was a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. In addition, he holds an MBA from IAE Business School at Austral University in Pilar, Buenos Aires, and a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy from the Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
