Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘waiting for European clubs to move’ as speculation continues over his future.
The 37-year-old is currently without a club after leaving Manchester United last month following a high-profile fallout.
It came after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan in which he lashed out at several club figures, including the Glazer family and Erik ten Hag.
Since then, speculation about his future has been a huge topic of conversation in newspapers around the world.
Reports had suggested Saudi side Al Nassr had agreed a £173million deal to sign Ronaldo after the World Cup, which the player himself denied.
But according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Al Nassr’s interest remains valid, with the striker awaiting European offers.
He wrote on Twitter: “Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t made any decision on his future – nothing will be signed until the end of the World Cup.
“Al Nassr’s offer remains valid: 200 million euros per year until 2025. But nothing has been agreed, as indicated last week.
“Cristiano, waiting for European clubs to move.”
Ronaldo even touched on reports that he agreed to move to Saudi Arabia after the conclusion of the World Cup.
“No, that’s not true,” he insisted when asked by reporters about the claims.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner continues to be in the spotlight at the World Cup.
He was dropped to the bench for the last 16 clash with Switzerland, his replacement scoring a hat-trick.
Portugal were later forced to deny claims they threatened to leave Qatar following a falling out with manager Fernando Santos.
Portugal will face Morocco in the quarter-finals on Saturday at 3 p.m.
