Search teams scoured the waters off Huntington Beach for a missing diver on Sunday January 16.
The missing diver may be in the area of the Elly Platform, an oil processing facility about 5 miles from shore, US Coast Guard officials said in a 12:40 p.m. tweet.
Ships and aircraft from the Coast Guard and local agencies were involved in the search.
