The NHS asked a group of slum singers to write a song to encourage young people to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
The Motley Crew, based in Brightlingsea, Essex, recorded Just Get That Jab And Go to the tune of Wellerman, a 19th century slum which was taken to number one on the UK charts in March by Scottish postman Nathan Evans.
Together with record producer Ray Hayden, it was the idea of the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System to mark the opening of vaccination to people aged 30 and over.
Motley Crew boss David Bridle said: “We all got it and we are delighted to lend our voice to such an important campaign.
“After a year of meeting primarily on Zoom, we look forward to adding it to our live shows when we can perform again soon.”
