Courtney Cox was there for Jennifer Aniston the day of his birthday.
The Monica to Aniston’s Rachel shared a festive tribute on Instagram on Sunday in honor of the actress’ 55th birthday. The carousel featured a photo of the two smiling on the red carpet, a selfie snuggled up on the couch with a kiss on the cheek, and a clip from season 2 of Friends.
The short video features Aniston as Rachel Green, speaking to the late Matthew PerryChandler Bing from, from the episode “The One Where Heckles Dies”.
“Hey, Chandler. Monica just broke my seashell lamp,” Aniston says in the clip.
“I don’t know why this is one of my favorite music videos… I guess it’s because no one else in the world could make this phrase this cute,” Cox wrote in her caption. “Happy birthday my sweet Jenny Louise. I don’t know why I call it that either… but I really love you.
Aniston posted her own message to celebrate her big day. She shared a video montage of moments from her life on Instagram, which included footage from the Friends episode “The One Where They’re All Thirty,” plus photos from the red carpet, recent videos with her pets, and photos from her childhood.
“Grateful,” Aniston captioned her video, before inserting the poem Layers by Stanley Kunitz.
“I have gone through many lives, some of which are my own, and I am no longer who I was, even if a certain principle of being remains, from which I find it difficult not to move away,” we read at the beginning of the poem.
