A husband and wife were killed Tuesday at their home in Marshfield, Massachusetts, and authorities have issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest. Carl Mattson, 70, and his wife, Vicki Mattson, who would have turned 71 on Wednesday, were found dead when officers responded at 9:19 p.m. at 75 Gotham Hill Drive for a wellness check, the district attorney said of Plymouth County, Timothy Cruz. “Both victims were stabbed and bludgeoned to death,” Cruz said. Cruz said police were looking for Christopher Keeley, 27, from Weymouth, who knows the couple, in connection with the deaths. “This does not appear to be a random act of violence. It appears to be a targeted attack,” Cruz said. “The individual we are looking for at this time, we consider armed and dangerous. We do not consider him to be in the area at this time.” Keeley, who also goes by the name “Crispy,” is 5-foot-7 and weighs 140 pounds. He has blonde hair that he may have dyed red, Cruz said. Authorities were looking for a black 2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with Massachusetts license plate 7490HT that Keeley was believed to be driving, but the vehicle was found unoccupied in a parking lot in Avon on Wednesday afternoon.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, search warrants have been executed and a warrant for Keeley’s arrest has been issued for Keeley by Plymouth District Court and entered into the National Crime Information Centre.
