To the Taylor Swift Did the Ticketmaster debacle leave you deflated, defeated and generally exhausted?
Maybe you quit it and decided to stick with your playlist.
But for exhausted parents and others who still want something to do instead of the big show, the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City offers a Taylor Swift Laser Show.
Swift will be larger than life on the big screen – 88 million pixels, to be precise, at the center’s Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, which has the largest planetarium screen in the Western Hemisphere.
The 25-minute show, from December 22 to January 1, is available in addition to general admission tickets to LSC.
For adults, there’s also the “After Dark” iteration of the show on Thursday, December 1, which includes drinks and food, as well as other attractions.
“We’re definitely more of a hero than an ‘anti-hero’ here,” Paul Hoffman, president and CEO of LSC, said in a statement. “In fact, to paraphrase one of his greatest hits, ‘look what the recent ticket problem made us do.’ So make your “wildest dreams” come true and celebrate the holidays by attending our Taylor Swift Laser Show.
Don’t complain, kids! At the dawn of the laser light show, it was all about Pink Floyd, not T. Swift in sight.
The cost is also probably a little more acceptable than anything resellers can offer for the real deal (Swift’s Eras tour).
For $8, the Taylor Swift Laser Show can be added to a general admission ticket ($29.99 adults; $24.99 children; $26.99 seniors); lsc.org.
