Several Apple and Facebook products are in short supply, which could show the impact of the new coronavirus on the global manufacturing system.
According to Bloomberg News, the iPad Pro tablet has limited availability in stores in major cities in the United States, Australia and Europe.
The 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 512 gigabytes of storage and no cellular connectivity is sold in all Apple stores in the Los Angeles area, reports the trade publication. This iPad and some other models are also sold in a number of stores in New York.
Some Apple Store employees told Bloomberg that they have started to notice a reduction in iPad Pro stocks in the past week.

The tech giant recently said it will not meet its March quarter forecast, saying supply shortages will have a “temporary” impact on global revenues.
A review by Bloomberg News of the Facebook online store found that the Oculus Quest virtual reality headset with 128 gigabytes of storage was “unavailable” for purchase.
“Like other companies, we expect an additional impact on our hardware production due to the coronavirus,” Facebook told Bloomberg News in a statement. “We take precautions to keep our employees, manufacturing partners and customers safe, and we are monitoring the situation closely.”
A growing number of tech companies, including Google and Facebook, have canceled major gatherings planned for the coming months following the coronavirus outbreak.
