Conor Benn’s promoter Eddie Hearn has revealed he’s held talks with Manny Pacquiao’s reps about possibly fighting each other next.
The unexpected match would surprise many boxing fans if it were to come to fruition this summer, given that Pacquiao is currently retired and Benn has a dark cloud of two positive drug tests still hanging over his chest. head.

Pacquiao, now 44, retired from boxing following his loss to Yordenis Ugas in 2021, in which he looked like a shadow of his former self.
His goal upon leaving boxing was to be elected President of the Philippines, but he failed to win the 2022 election.
Pacquiao has since returned to the ring for exhibition contests and late last year teased a possible serious comeback to fight Errol Spence or Terence Crawford.
As it stands, he is currently retired.
Benn, 26, was supposed to face Chris Eubank Jr in October only to have the showdown scrapped at the last minute due to his two positive drug tests.
As it stands, two separate investigations are underway into the situation – one by the WBC and the other by the BBBofC/UKAD.

Benn’s team is prioritizing the WBC investigation and it is reported that the sanctioning body is set to announce an impending ruling in his favor.
However, the WBC simply has the power to determine whether or not the welterweight contender is reinstated in their rankings, while the BBBofC/UKAD could ban him from boxing in the UK.
Despite this, promoter Hearn is starting to talk about a ring comeback for Benn this summer and has already teased Pacquiao as a potential opponent.
Now he has revealed preliminary talks have taken place as he told Boxing King Media: “Maybe watch this space.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see Conor Benn fight Manny Pacquiao next.
“But it’s not signed.
“There were some discussions, minor discussions.
“But obviously the key for us is to work on the WBC decision.”
