So what does all this mean?

Smartphone Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra iPhone 11 Pro Max Google Pixel 4XL

Well, for starters, the iPhone doesn’t like taking pictures behind a glass wall. Something in the glass messed up with its colors, but it’s still a fair test. The glass walls of the One World Trade Center viewing platform didn’t seem to be a problem for the S20 Ultra and the Pixel 4, and they are better cameras for that.

That said, the lack of an ultra-wide Pixel 4 camera was glaring when taking photos at the top of the One World Trade Center, which calls for ultra-wide photos because of the views.

It is clear that the S20 Ultra’s cameras are quite large – from ultra-wide, to 10x zoom, to regular 12-megapixel mode and to 108-megapixel mode. Versatility and performance are absolutely there, and there are very few compromises.

I should mention that the 100x zoom on the Galaxy S20 Ultra is a bad gadget. Simply because Samsung could not mean that it should have added this functionality, or market it at all. That said, a goal that is able 100x zoom means that it is more capable at lower zooms, such as 10x. The iPhone 11 Pro and Pixel 4 cameras reach a maximum of 10x, and they don’t perform as well as the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

At the end of the day, I would like to carry the Galaxy S20 Ultra instead of the iPhone 11 Pro or the Pixel 4 for its great cameras. However, I wouldn’t be doing my job properly if I didn’t mention the $ 1,400 price for the Galaxy S20 Ultra. With this price tag in mind, the iPhone 11 Pro and Google Pixel 4 will be perfect for most people who aren’t ready to spend that much.
