Collette Dinnigan has purchased property in the NSW Southern Highlands.

The fashion designer, 57, has splashed out $2.85million on a three-bedroom cottage, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

The property sits on a 1.8 hectare block and offers incredible views of the Kangaroo Valley escarpment.

The house is situated on a sheltered country lane and its spacious kitchen is fitted with an AGA cooker.

The property also has a newly renovated studio and workshop.

The purchase comes after the famous fashion designer opened a homewares store in Mittagong to showcase her developing range of handcrafted homewares.

Collette and her husband Bradley Cocks manage a number of luxury rental properties on the North and South Coast, as well as in Bowral in the Southern Uplands.

The famous designer shocked the fashion world in 2013 when she pulled her stores in Sydney, Melbourne and London.

The South African-born designer later revealed that she made the decision to leave when her job started to take a toll on her personal life.

The star wanted to spend more time with her husband Bradley and her two children, Hunter, six, and Estella, 15.
