They soaked up the sun on their Ibiza getaway this week.

And Wayne Rooney took to Instagram on Thursday to share a series of beloved snaps with his wife Coleen from their vacation.

Explaining in the post that “more great memories” have been made, the 36-year-old Derby County manager and his wife, also 36, appeared in high spirits for the trip.

The couple flew to Spain this week alongside a group of friends, including football professionals Alex Bruce and Michael Carrick, and their wives Lucy and Lisa.

In the blink of an eye, Coleen and Wayne posed arm in arm by a swimming pool – as Coleen sported a high waisted maxi skirt with a floral print, paired with a black scoop neck tank top.

She teamed the look with black and gold sandals and a black leather handbag, accessorized with gold hoop earrings.

With her hair up in a sleek bun, Coleen put on a radiant display while snuggling up next to Wayne – who looked suave in a khaki shirt.

The escapade comes as Coleen awaits the verdict of the highly publicized Wagatha Christie libel trial – initiated by Rebekah Vardy.

She flew back and forth to London from the family home in Cheshire for the trial, after Rebekah was roundly accused of selling stories about the mother-of-four to the press.

And the holidays came at a good time for Wayne too, who had his woes on the pitch – finding himself powerless to prevent his bankrupt Derby County side from slipping into League One football obscurity after suffering a long-awaited relegation from the Championship.
