Jamie Vardy left football fans in points with his shin guards in Leicester’s win over Arsenal on Sunday.
The 33-year-old striker came off the bench to score the winner in a 1-0 win at the Emirates.
But undoubtedly, it was his shin guards, which had the message “ chat, get fucked ”, that stole the show.
It was a clear reference to his famous Facebook status from September 2011 when he posted the “ chat ***, get hit ” message on his timeline.
Vardy had missed Leicester’s last two games with a calf injury, but returned to continue his impressive scoring record against Arsenal.
He scored 11 goals in 12 appearances against the Gunners with a diving header in the 80th minute.
This led Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers to call Vardy ‘world class’ during his post-match press conference.
He said: “The idea has always been to bring Jamie, he’s still a huge threat and brings great confidence to the team.
“He’s a world class striker and he’s up there to make the ball square to him.
“He’s an incredible talent and we would have loved to throw him, but he came out with his calf that we just needed to make sure we healed him.
“The plan was to stay in the game and then he can come in for 30 minutes and stretch the game for us.
“He always does, every game he looks like he’s scoring and he’s disappointed that he didn’t get another because he was head-to-head on a slight angle.
“It was a real quality moment in the game.”
