Samsung has opened entries for its 13th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition. The competition challenges teams of students in grades 6-12 to create lasting solutions to problems in their community using science, technology, engineering and math.
Last year, Discovery High School and Odyssey Middle School’s joint entry – Team Mean Machine’s invention, the Power Pivot – was a finalist in the competition and received $50,000 in educational resources. The Power Pivot has been designed to help people with limited mobility get in and out of their wheelchair safely and efficiently.
Ten finalists and three winners are chosen each year, with the ultimate prize being $100,000 in educational resources. Interested applicants should speak to school counselors or learn more online at https://bit.ly/3UCFJky.
Applications are open until November 2.
