Here are today’s top 3 stories in Phoenix:
- 82-year-old actor Chuck Norris will be attending the three-day event, Phoenix Fan Fusion, at the Phoenix Convention Center. Kate Mulgrew, Patrick Warburton and Billy West will also be present at the event. This year will be the 20th Phoenix Fan Fusion event, and nearly 60,000 people are expected. Ticket prices range from $40 to $90 for adults, but children ages 3-12 will cost $15 and those 2 and under get in free. The event will take place on May 28. Come have fun! (12news.com KPNX)
- This weekend, four people died in Phoenix in three separate shootings. Early Saturday morning, Paul Tellez, 28, was found with gun-related injuries near 40th Street and Southern Avenue. He was taken to hospital where he later died. Another man, Cesar Garcia Burgos, 20, was found dead at the scene just after 1 p.m. Saturday near 65th Avenue and West Thomas Road. On Sunday morning, Mary Ousley, 68, and Bobby Ousley, 57, were found dead in the 800 block of West Thomas Road. Each shooting is currently under investigation and anyone with information regarding the incidents should contact the Phoenix Police Department immediately. (Phoenix patch)
- As part of their first tour in almost 4 years, the group Gorillaz will come to Phoeniz on September 26 at the Footprint Center! Earthgang will be the opening act. Pre-sale tickets begin Thursday and regular tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. The tour kicks off September 11 in Vancouver and ends October 23 in Miami. Get your tickets before they sell out!
