A public service announcement featuring Chuck Norris will air on Texas airwaves to promote a new school safety initiative.
“Parents, teachers and students deserve to feel safe returning to school this fall, and who better to help spread the message on the iWatchTexas reporting system than ‘Texas Ranger’ Chuck Norris,” said said Gov. Greg Abbott, referring to the program he and the Texas Department of Public Safety initiated, iWatch Texas.
The program will operate as a collaboration between law enforcement and communities to enable the public to report any suspicious activity related to school safety or non-school concerns.
The public service announcement shot by “Walker, Texas Ranger” star Chuck Norris will begin airing in media markets across the state beginning Wednesday.
“I’m Chuck Norris. I love bringing bad guys to justice,” Norris said in the ad. “But law enforcement can’t stop bad guys if they don’t know who they are. that’s why I wanted to tell you about iWatch, a website, phone app, and service that allows Texans to report suspicious activity.
“Whether it’s criminal acts, terrorist threats, or someone out to harm children, if you see something, say something and help keep communities safe in the great state. from Texas.”
