Chris Pratt shares behind-the-scenes clips from The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special… as Kevin Bacon says he had an ‘out-of-body experience’ watching the first film
Chris Pratt took to Instagram on Sunday with a series of behind-the-scenes clips he recorded on the set of The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special.
The 43-year-old Minnesota native, who plays Peter Quill/Star-Lord, posted the clips with the caption: ‘Just some behind-the-scenes glimpses of filming our holiday special with none other than legendary hero Kevin Bacon’ , adding the special was “now streaming on @disneyplus.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy lead actor took a 360 look at the decorated ensemble while in costume.

He was also seen in a tent, panning over collaborators on the special, including Dave Bautista, 53, and Bacon, 64.
He shared a photo of Bacon posing with three costumed actors and a photo of Pom Klementieff, 36, in a green holiday-themed ensemble.
The holiday special’s storyline follows Mantis (Klementieff) and Drax (Bautista) as they travel to Earth to kidnap Bacon as a holiday present for Quill (Pratt), an ardent fan of the Bacon movie Footloose.
Bacon, 64, spoke to Marvel.com on Friday about his surreal reaction to seeing the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie when it hit theaters in August 2014.
The Minnesota native posted the clips with the caption, “Just some behind-the-scenes glimpses of filming our holiday special with none other than legendary hero Kevin Bacon,” adding that the special was “now streaming on @disneyplus.”

“I went to the Guardians opening weekend in the afternoon alone and had no idea what was coming,” Bacon told the outlet. “If you can imagine sitting there and hearing Peter start talking about you when you’re already deep into this movie – and not only that, that’s one thing if it was a regular rom-com and someone had made a passing reference, but when it’s a real other universe, it’s a pretty out-of-body experience.
Bacon said he told his wife Kyra Sedgwick, 57, of the film: “I said, ‘There’s a little surprise in it, but I’m not going to tell you what it is.
“It’s just one of those times you go, boy, my life is pretty weird sometimes.”

The filmmaker said of the holiday special: “When I started writing this and knew they were going to try to give one of Peter Quill’s heroes as a gift, of course Kevin Bacon was the first person I thought of and the one who was mentioned the most.
‘It was something that was a benefit of [the special] From the beginning. I called Kevin and said, “Do you want to do this ridiculous thing?” And he just laughs like crazy and agrees that was awesome.
